Tris (Trishydroxymethylaminomethane) is widely used in the preparation of buffers in biochemistry and molecular biology experiments. In addition, tris can also be used in the field of coatings. CN 112391092 A discloses a preparation method of acrylic resin coating, which is composed of acrylic resin, rutile titanium dioxide, 2-(2'-Hydroxy-3',5'-di-tert-butylphenyl)benzotriazole, tris, fumed and silica2-hydroxy-1,2-diphenyl-ethanon. The specific preparation steps are as follows:

(1) Monomer mixing: Mix methyl methacrylate (monomer 1), n-butyl methacrylate (monomer 2), styrene (monomer 3) and terpene resin (monomer 4); The mass ratio of monomer 1, monomer 2, monomer 3, and monomer 4 is (20-40): (30-50): (5-15): (10-30).

(2) Acrylic resin preparation: the monomer, emulsifier (methacryloxyethyl trimethyl ammonium chloride), initiator (terpene hydrogen peroxide), sugar (sugar is D-allose and D -Azhuose is combined according to the mass ratio (1-3): (1:3). The best mass ratio is 1:1) stir uniformly; add 100-110℃ organic solvent dropwise evenly within 1-3 hours (Trimethylbenzene or toluene, preferably trimethylbenzene); wherein the mass ratio of organic solvent to monomer is (90-130): 100; the mass ratio of initiator to monomer is (2-8): 100; The mass ratio of emulsifier to monomer is (1-5): 100; the mass ratio of sugar to monomer is (0.5-1.5): 100. (3) Preparation of acrylic resin paint: 100 parts of acrylic resin, 0.2-2 parts of 2-(2'-Hydroxy-3',5'-di-tert-butylphenyl)benzotriazole,40-80 parts of rutile titanium dioxide, 0.5-1.5 parts of 2-hydroxy-2-phenylacetophenone, 1-2 parts of trimethylolaminomethane, and 1-4 parts of fumed silica are mixed evenly according to the ratio;

In the preparation method, acrylic resin is used as the base material; rutile titanium dioxide is used as the pigment and filler to improve the weather resistance of the coating;Tris as a leveling agent can effectively control surface tension and make the coating surface smooth and flat; fumed silica imparts thixotropy to the coating, has good dispersion performance, and can improve the suspension stability, thixotropy and weather resistance of the coating;2-hydroxy-2-phenylacetophenone can eliminate pinhole defects in the coating film; 2-(2'-Hydroxy-3',5'-di-tert-butylphenyl) benzotriazole has good UV absorption properties.

The acrylic resin prepared by the above method has low odor, high viscosity and good adhesion. Acrylic resin coating has good water resistance and hydrophobic properties.
