AEPD is a biochemical reagent with a molecular weight of 119.16, soluble in water. AEPD can be used as an additive in aqueous suspensions to improve the conductivity of suspensions, can be used as an alkalizing agent in hair forming compositions, can also be used as a component of polyurethane foam, and can also be used in inks.
Application of AEPD

Thermal inkjet(TIJ) printing is an ideal printing, encoding, and labeling technology. In the process of thermal inkjet printing, the print cartridge contains a series of small chambers, each containing a heater, which generates ink droplets through the thermal evaporation of the ink solvent. During the jetting process, the resistor is rapidly heated to generate steam bubbles, by the ejection of droplets from the hole. However, over time, the print head nozzle is prone to clogging, which in turn affects inkjet and image quality. In addition, it is difficult to balance long lid opening time and short drying time during the printing process. Therefore, in order to achieve a balance between opening time and drying time, existing technologies can improve opening performance by using a special mixture of adhesive resin or high boiling point wetting agents used for nozzle wetting. However, improvements in opening time in this ink system usually still come at the expense of ink drying time. Therefore, the CN116367870A patent has developed a fast drying inkjet ink with extended lid opening. This ink consists of six parts: terpene phenolic resin, carbonate, ethanol, alkanolamine, silicone acrylate copolymer, and colorant.
