Product Introduction

Trihydroxymethylaminopropanesulfonic acid is a zwitterionic buffering agent that can be used as an important pH stabilizer in biochemical experimental. It is generally mixed with weak acids and their conjugated bases to obtain an appropriate pH value.

Application of TAPS

Various thermoplastic membrane materials such as PET, PETG, TPU, and composite membrane materials are widely used in dental treatment, and can be used as carriers for various dental treatment instruments such as invisible orthodontics, retainers, various occlusal plates, and sports braces. However, dental treatment instruments made of such thermoplastic membranes are prone to adhesion and accumulation of soft scale, plaque, and tartar on the surface due to complex internal morphology and structure, long-term contact with patient teeth and mucosa, oral microbial environment, and food residue during specific use. They require daily repeated cleaning, and incomplete cleaning can lead to oral hygiene problems such as caries and periodontal damage, as well as affect the transparency and aesthetics of these dental treatment instruments. At present, the existing cleaning agents for dental treatment instruments on the market are mainly citric acid and sodium bicarbonate, which generate reactive oxygen species to achieve the cleaning purpose. However, this method mainly relies on physical cleaning and has limited plaque removal and antibacterial ability, and requires brushing with a toothbrush. Repeated brushing with a toothbrush can cause scratches on the surface of dental treatment instruments made of thermoplastic membranes, making it easier for bacteria and dirt to adsorb; Some cleaning agents use enzymes, but there are strict requirements for cleaning temperature, which makes the operation more complicated, and causes damage to the dental treatment instruments made of such thermoplastic membranes. The cost is high and the price is expensive. Therefore, the CN115161121A patent has developed a new cleaning agent for dental treatment instruments. Its specific components are:

1. 3mmol/L plant polyphenols: at least one of tannic acid and gallic acid;

2. 30mmol/L cationic surfactant: at least one of hexadecylpyridine chloride, benzylammonium chloride, or benzalkonium chloride;

3. 10mmol/L pH stabilizer: at least one of trimethylaminomethane, N, N-bis (2-hydroxyethyl) glycine, and trimethylaminopropanesulfonic acid.

4.  Water surplus.

The cleaning agent of the present invention can quickly remove plaque and other dirt adhered to the surface of dental treatment instruments made of thermoplastic membranes, facilitating repeated cleaning operations for patients during long-term treatment and after daily removal. During the cleaning process, there is no need to cooperate with toothbrush brushing and other operations, and there is no damage to the surface of dental treatment instruments made of thermoplastic membranes. The cleaning agent has no residue on the surface of dental treatment instruments made of thermoplastic membranes, and has high safety. The cleaning agent does not need to dissolve at a specific temperature, and the operation is simple and convenient.
