Guanidine carbonate is an extremely versatile organic synthetic raw material and analytical reagent, mainly used as a pH regulator, antioxidant, resin stabilizer, and soap for amino resins. It is also used as an additive for cement slurries and surfactants. It can also be used as a moisture resistant and synergistic agent for detergents, cosmetic raw materials, etc.

Application Field of Guanidine carbonate

In recent years, dyes aimed at enhancing the beauty of hair have been widely used. In terms of hair colorants, the most commonly used technique is to use oxidative dye intermediates and oxidants in the presence of alkaline agents to undergo oxidative coupling reactions for hair dyeing. However, due to the susceptibility of oxidants to hair damage and fragility, dyeing these damaged or fragile hair can make it difficult to shape the hair due to its lack of elasticity, strength, and fluffiness. The hair dye composition of the present invention can also contain an alkaline agent, which can be guanidine carbonate. The content of the alkaline agent is preferably 0.2-5% by mass.
