Usage:

Isopropyl glucosinolates galactose glucoside (IPTG) is a kind of extremely strong inducer, not by bacteria metabolism and is very stable, so widely used by the laboratory. IPTG used to need to induce beta galactose glucoside enzyme activity of cloning experiments. It is often combined with X - Gal or Bluo - Gal to use, the blue and white screening of recombinant bacterial colonies, these colonies can induce the lac operon expressed in escherichia coli. IPTG combined with lacI inhibit protein and change its conformation and function, prevent beta galactose glucoside enzyme inhibition of lacZ genes encoding.
