Glucose oxidase single liquid assay reagent with MOPS 2019-06-21 11:33:46


At present, there are more than 120 million people with diabetes in the world. Diabetes has become the third most serious chronic disease that threatens human health after cancer and cardiovascular disease. For patients with diagnosed diabetes, in order to control and delay the development of the disease, reduce the occurrence of complications, blood glucose must be measured regularly and irregularly. How to quickly and accurately detect the glucose content in the blood has positive significance. The researchers developed a glucose oxidase single liquid assay reagent containing MOPS with excellent stability and sensitivity and a wide range of detection wavelengths.


At present, the blood glucose level enzymatic method mainly includes: hexokinase method, glucose dehydrogenase method, oxidase method, enzyme electrode, blood glucose meter, etc. The following problems exist:


  •  The hexokinase method and the glucose dehydrogenase reagent are expensive and cannot be detected in the visible range;
  •  Enzyme electrode method is not popular and cannot be combined on clinical biochemical analyzers;
  • The blood glucose meter can only be used for qualitative testing;
  • Glucose oxidase method is economical and accurate, and most widely used for measuring blood glucose. However, the chromogen agent phenol is very unstable, suitable for narrow wavelength range; lyophilized reagent or liquid double reagents are easy to cause reagent waste, affecting the quality and efficiency of inspection, and will cause greater harm and pollution to operators, equipment and the environment.

  •  High-sensitivity composite chromogen is a combination of two or more of DBHS, TOPS, TOOS, TODB and other water-soluble developers;
  •  Buffer can be, but not limited to, phosphate buffer, Tris buffer, Good'S biological buffer, pH 5.0~8.0
  •  Preservatives can be PROCLIN series preservatives, sodium azide, gentamicin, chloramphenicol, methylparaben, deoxyacetic acid and its salts, cationic surfactants, etc., in an amount of 0.05-20 g/L. Inhibit the growth of microorganisms during the expiration date.


The glucose content can be measured by measuring the absorbance at a wavelength of 500~600 nm under the biochemical analyzer. The invention can be stable for at least one year in the form of a stable single reagent, and the operation is simple and can be conveniently applied, the reagent waste and environmental pollution are reduced. It has good sensitivity and wide detection wavelength range (500-600nm), which can be applied to various biochemical detection instruments and improve instrument utilization.
