Application of CAPS

Polyurethane resin is widely used in various industrial fields. Polyurethane resin contains reaction products of polyisocyanate components and polyol components. In recent years, in order to improve environmental and operational performance, it has been required to prepare polyisocyanate components in the form of aqueous dispersions. The polyisocyanate component that can be dispersed in water is obtained by reacting the isocyanurate of pentamethylene 1,5-diisocyanate with 3- (cyclohexylamino) propanesulfonic acid to obtain a mixture of polyisocyanates. Polyisocyanate mixtures become water dispersible due to the sulfonation of 3- (cyclohexylamino) propanesulfonic acid.
