AMP can be used as a vulcanization accelerator, acidic gas absorber, and additive for coatings, with pigment dispersion, pH adjustment, and rust prevention effects. In addition, AMP can also be used as a component of hair dye, and a first dose of acidified hair dye has been developed in JP2021161028A patent.

There are one agent, two agent, and three agent types of commercially available oxidative hair dyes, among which the two agent type hair dyes composed of the first agent containing oxidative dyes and the second agent containing hydrogen peroxide are more popular. There are two types of dyes in hair dyes: oxidation dyes and direct dyes. Oxidized dyes are more popular due to their less fading after dyeing, but they have the disadvantage of not being bright in bright and warm colors. Direct dyes are prone to fading after dyeing, but using hair dyes with direct dyes can help consumers achieve the desired color. In order to solve the problem of hair dyes that can show obvious color and are not easily faded, JP2021161028A has developed a new type of oxidized hair dye with the following specific composition:

Component (A): It is composed of 4-12% parts by mass of mono Ethanolamine (MEA) and 2-amino-2-methyl-1-propanol (AMP), and the mass ratio of MEA to AMP is 0.5-14;

Surfactant (B): 2.5-7.5% mass fraction of anionic surfactant

Nonionic surfactant (C): It is composed of 14-22% by weight of Coconut oil fatty acid monoethanolamide and non-ionic surfactant with a hydrophilicity and lipophilicity value (HLB) of 3-15. The mass ratio of Coconut oil fatty acid monoethanolamide to non-ionic surfactant is 0.5~1.5.
