CAS:124-68-5|Application of AMP in CO2 absorption

2023-11-20

2-Amino-2-methyl-1-propanol (AMP, CAS 124-68-5) is an organic compound with the molecular formula C6H15NO5S and a molecular weight of 89.14. AMP can be used as a vulcanization accelerator, acidic gas absorber, and additive for coatings, with pigment dispersion, pH adjustment, and rust prevention effects. In addition, AMP is also used in CO2 absorbents and CO2 diagnostic kits. This week, the editor of YACOO will briefly introduce will briefly introduce its specific applications.

The CN104853830B patent introduces a CO2 absorbent that contains a combination of AMP with a concentration of 10-35% and 3-aminopropanol (AP) with a concentration of 10-40%, or a combination of AMP with a concentration of 10-35% and 4-aminobutanol (AB) with a concentration of 10-40%. The amine absorbent in this patent significantly reduces its corrosiveness and has a lower degree of degradation compared to the amine absorbent based on prior art.

The CN1786694A patent introduces a method for determining carbon dioxide content and a carbon dioxide diagnostic kit. The diagnostic kit includes 40-200mmol/l buffer, 1-50mmol/l pyruvate, 0.15-0.3mmol/l reduced coenzyme, 500-5000U/l malic dehydrogenase, and a total volume of stabilizers/reagents of 10-80%. The buffer can be AMP buffer. The liquid carbon dioxide content diagnostic kit provided by the present invention has good stability, and the three-dimensional spatial structure of each component present in it remains intact, effectively ensuring the effectiveness of application testing.
