Hyperuricemia and gout are one of the common diseases that endanger people's health. With the improvement of living standards, the incidence of hyperuricemia and gout is still rising. The treatment of hyperuricemia and gout for uric acid is mainly to increase uric acid excretion.

The organic acid in the tromethamine organic acid salt is acetic acid or lactic acid, and the dosage per day for adults is not more than 7 g in terms of tromethamine; the administration method is oral or intravenous drip injection. The acetic acid or lactic acid in the tromethamine organic acid salt is an organic acid which can be completely and rapidly degraded in the body. The tromethamine organic acid salt enters the liver in the form of salt after oral administration, and the free tromethamine is obtained after being discharged. Alcohol, acetic acid and lactic acid are completely metabolized to carbon dioxide and water, and acetic acid degrades faster than lactic acid. Because of its high polarity and stable chemical properties, tromethamine is not easily metabolized by the body, and the remaining tromethamine can function to alkalinize blood. Since tromethamine enters the body mainly excretes through the urine and is not easily reabsorbed, tromethamine can alkalize the renal tubular environment, so that the deposited acidic substances can be dissolved and excreted.


The pH of the tromethamine organic acid is close to neutral, the local stimulation is greatly decreased; because the irritancy is greatly reduced, the tromethamine organic acid salt can be taken orally, and it does not produce gas during the process of neutralizing or buffering gastric acid, and has the unparalleled advantage than sodium bicarbonate. In addition, the tromethamine organic acid salt does not contain sodium ions, and the cardiovascular effect will be slightly milder than sodium bicarbonate.
